Guilt and Shame – Daniel Han  Introduction  I talk to the parents quite often (I would like to do so). I love talking to them to get to know them and their kids. My aim is to hopefully inspire them to model the spiritual life through Jesus at home. But more than often (and to my surprise), I get responses like, “Only if they could be like you.” Or, “They could learn a lot from you.”   Actually, quite recently, I was talking with an older dad at my church to check in on how their college daughter was doing. This dad would reminisce about her days in high school, where she would attend church every weekend. Today, she is living a depressed life at home. What changed? I don’t know. Out of frustration or maybe hopelessness, the dad uttered to me the same thing that many other parents have said to my face.
